In short everything is important, when it comes to biodiversity. For a better understanding, let’s look at an example. When there are a huge number of species of plants, they lead to a great diversity of crops. A major role of a healthy ecosystem is that it can survive and help in overcoming many types of disasters. Ecosystem services, biological resources and social benefits are all made available to mankind, through the means of a healthy biodiversity.
