Incorrect Medication Reason For Ponies’ Death

Friday, July 30, 2010 | 2:14 am

A team of around 21 horses of The Lechuza Caracas polo club, owned by a Venezuelan team, died last weekend, just before the US Open Polo Championship. These ponies were given an additional source of vitamins and within three hours of consumption, they began to collapse one after another. When sent for investigation, a Florida pharmacy conveyed that the prescribed amount of medicines given to the ponies was wrong. These investigations further reveal that harmful drug reaction would have occurred or the drug itself could have been poisonous. Whatever it is, losing them is a great lose for its owners.
